Jazzmun Crayton
Jazzmun Nichala Crayton is an American actress and nightclub performer who has entertained audiences for years. Her talent was first showcased on national television in 1984 when she wowed audiences with her lip-syncing skills on the variety show “Puttin’ on the Hits.” After moving to Los Angeles, she started performing worldwide as her stage character, “Jazzmun,” or her famous Whitney Houston impersonation.
In 1997, Jazzmun made history when she played a transgender character in “The Wayans Brothers,” paving the way for more representation in mainstream media. She later came out as a transgender woman herself, around 2008, inspiring others in the LGBTQ+ community.
