Funny Girl (1968), 2 hrs 31 mins – IMDb user rating: 7.4

The 1968 movie “Funny Girl,” starring Barbra Streisand, tells the real-life story of Broadway actress Brice and her tumultuous relationship with Nick Arnstein. It was a highly successful film, becoming the highest-grossing picture of that year.
As it turned out, the producer only had Streisand on his mind when they were brainstorming the musical. They were also supposed to cast Frank Sinatra to play Arnstein, but the producer deemed him too old for the part. Nonetheless, the team made the right choice to cast the “Woman In Love” hitmaker, who didn’t hold back in showing her perfectionist nature on set.
