Robyn has made one of the songs that captured what a brokenhearted yet hopeful lady felt in the middle of the dance floor. Her 2010 single “Dancing On My Own” entails the story of a woman in a crowded club who finds solace in dancing, all while dealing with a recent breakup from an ex-boyfriend.
Critics named the classic a bittersweet anthem, and it went on to become her signature song that greatly contributed to the “poptimist” movement. Robyn also made it her lead single for her fifth studio album, “Body Talk Pt. 1,” and shared the song credits with Patrik Berger and Niklas Flyckt.
