“Idioteque” is a masterpiece from the English rock band Radiohead, released on their fourth album, “Kid A.” It all began with a rhythm created by one of the band members, Jonny Greenwood. He then added found sounds and sampling after feeling like the sound needed chaos.
After some lyrics and vocals improvisation, the band released it in 2000 with a live version making more noise in the EP “I Might Be Wrong: Live Recordings.” The song went on to be acclaimed as one of the best songs of all time by Pitchfork and Rolling Stone. “Idioteque” shaped how Radiohead influenced alternative rock.
