With $3.5 billion in the bank, it might not seem ludicrous for Oprah Winfrey to spend a pretty penny on her Bombardier BD-700 Global Express XRS. Having owned a G4 in the past, the TV personality’s production company, HARPO, bought the custom-built business aircraft for her.
Priced at $42 million, the Bombardier BD-700 is a long-range (11,000 km), twin-engine corporate jet that can accommodate up to 19 passengers. Winfrey’s explosive 2021 interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was one of the most-streamed interviews of modern history and was even in contention for an Emmy Award.
