Nathan Blecharczyk – $3.3 billion

Brian Chesky, Joe Gebbia, and Nathan Blecharczyk co-founded Airbnb in 2008, and the latter is dubbed the “engineer” of the group. The pandemic dealt a massive blow on the company because of the shutdown of non-essential travel. Its previous valuation was $35 billion, and it was cut to $26 billion, so they laid off a quarter of their staff.
Blecharczyk, when interviewed about the drop in valuation and profit, said that was an abstract question. He, in 2021, is most proud of how Airbnb managed to protect their laid-off workers and change the lives of those who used the platform.
