Why do so many people love Dolly Parton? For one, in 2021, she got vaccinated with the Moderna vaccine she helped fund by donating $1 million. The news inspired a YouTube parody (‘Vaccine,’ to the tune of ‘Jolene’) and all kinds of jokes (the vaccine is 9-to-5 percent effective).
Parton is a fan favorite for her musical talent as a country singer. Along with numerous hits and successful albums of her own, Parton’s wealth is also made from other artists using her songs. The most famous of these is Whitney Houston’s version of “I Will Always Love You.”
