Steven Spielberg – $3.7 billion
Steven Spielberg essentially created the concept of a Hollywood blockbuster. He was a fan of films even at a young age, and he shot to fame when he released the classic “Jaws” in 1975. That single film would change humanity’s relationship with sharks that even David Attenborough has not managed to undo.
More hits followed, including the “Indiana Jones” franchise, “E.T.,” and “Jurassic Park.” Again, all blockbusters. However, he has not only been the man directing behind the camera but has also been a producer on several other massively popular films. His next project, confirmed in 2021, will be a story of his own life.
