Humphrey Bogart – Seaman Second Class: 1918

American actor and veteran Humphrey Bogart is known for his tough-guy roles in movies. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during World War I in 1918 and was a model sailor, earning an honorable discharge with a permanent scar he carried. After leaving the Navy, he ventured into the acting profession.
Bogart was one of the most revered actors in history and starred in several movies such as “The Petrified Forest” and “The Maltese Falcon.” Decades after passing away in 1957, Bogart’s influence still holds sway. In his honor, the premium Italian hat brand Borsalino released the hat named “The Bogart by Borsalino Cut 6” in 2021.
