Mr. T – Private: 1975

Laurence Tureaud is the pop culture icon we all know as Mr. T. And you might as well know that he was a soldier in the U.S. Army. Young Tureaud earned the city-wide high school wrestling champion title on three occasions. He also enjoyed playing football and studying martial arts.
But even a football scholarship couldn’t convince him to develop an interest in academics. So he worked at a gym, self-ordained himself as Mr. T, and joined the Army National Guard immediately he was eligible. The year 2021 saw the actor and retired wrestler feature in the documentary “Biography: WWE Legends.”
