James Earl Jones – First Lieutenant: 1953

As soon as actor James Earl Jones got recruited into the Army, he knew that it could very well mean the end of his life. That thought rang especially true for him as the Korean War was gaining momentum at the time. However, it wasn’t the tragedy he expected as his battalion focused on training full-time.
Nevertheless, Jones attained remarkable success in television, film, and stage upon leaving the Army. He also has over 150 movie credits to his name, including the 2021 sequel of “Coming to America,” where his much-beloved “King Jaffe Joffer” character made a grand comeback.
