Gene Wilder – Unknown Rank: 1956
Gene Wilder was famous for his portrayal of Willy Wonka. After graduating from the University of Iowa, he was accepted at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. He was drafted into the military in 1956 and served as a medic in a U.S. Army hospital.
After leaving the Army, he ventured into acting, debuting in a theater production of “Twelfth Night.” Wilder also starred in movies such as “The Woman in Red” and shows like “Will & Grace.” He also worked with Mel Brooks on “Young Frankenstein.” Wilder later turned his attention into writing but sadly passed away in 2016.
