John Amos – Honorary Master Chief: Unknown Draft Year
It seems John Amos had a hard time figuring out a career path. After graduating with a degree in sociology from Colorado State University, he signed on to play football, but his efforts weren’t up to par. Thanks to some good advice, Amos decided to pursue acting instead, a decision that led him to star in projects like the “Good Times” TV show.
Still, not many are aware that he served in the 50th Armored Division of the New Jersey National Guard. He’s also an Honorary Master Chief of the U.S. Coast Guard. Amos appears in the 2021 drama-comedy “Because of Charley.”
