Mine-Resistant Ambush-Protected (MRAP) Vehicle – Cost: $1 Million
Mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicles (MRAPs) are designed to provide a safe and secure platform for soldiers to operate in hostile environments. Their V-shaped hulls are built to deflect the effects of underbody mines. According to a 2013 news on Washington Post, these cost around $1 million each.
MRAPs have been improved and redesigned over the years to keep up with the changing nature of warfare. Some of the newer iterations of the MRAP have even been converted into armored ambulances. MRAPs have a range of up to 370 miles and provide a way for soldiers to traverse dangerous areas without worrying about being attacked.
