AAVP7A1 Amphibious Assault Vehicle – Cost: $2.5 Million

The AAVP7A1 is a member of the BAE Systems family of Assault Amphibian Vehicles. First introduced in 1932 with the Roebling Alligator, which was not very successful, the AAVP7A1 is a definite upgrade with a top speed of eight miles per hour in the water and 45 miles per hour on land.
Manned by three crew members, it can carry up to 25 Marines from ship to shore. This makes it incredibly versatile, as it can be used for both beach assaults and as a refueller. It is considered to be one of the most important vehicles in the Marine Corps arsenal, due to its speed.
