The Fateful Trip Across The Sound

The best of Togo was yet to come. On one particular trip, Seppala had to cross the Norton Sound with his dogs. They were riding on frozen sea towards the shore, but as they approached land, he noticed there was a large body of melted ice between their position and the shore. They were stranded.
Thinking quick, he placed an anchor in the ice floe they stood on and attached the other end of the rope to Togo. Then, he threw the dog to the solid ground on the other side, trusting him to do what was necessary. Togo understood immediately and started to drag the ice floe towards him.
